1st edit

To my eye it seems a little plain and lacking something....

Any ideas anyone? colours? tones? something to emphasis the good v evil a bit more?

The girl on the left in white should have some blood on her knuckles, since apparently she's doing all the hitting. She could also have a more determined expression, with perhaps a bit more smile in the corner of her mouth. Her stance should be more upright and confident, unless she's actually throwing a punch (which would be good!)

The girl on the right in black should look a bit more tired. She's obviously losing because of the blood, but she looks a bit too alert and undazed. Maybe the background should be lighter, so her outfit wouldn't blend in so much. In fact, you could make it gray and smokey like at a real boxing match to give it a little more dimension.

(Also, if she's a 'demon' maybe she could be made up more like one)

Also, they seem to me looking past each other rather than AT each other. Their stances need to relate to each other more. They're a bit awkward and ';posed' looking, rather than looking like there's an actual fight going on. Kinda reminds me of the split-screen effects they used in old TV shows/movies - it's too obvious that it's the same girl twice.

I'm also not feeling the two-color boxing ring ropes. (They're always the same all the way around) It would bring them together better.

Oh, and one last nit-picky thing: "Overcome" is one word, not two.

But still, nice work! It's an interesting concept. I hope to see more.

Thanks for the amazing critque there :)

I'm gona play around with it abit, I've got some other shots of different stances I might try.
It' a shame there no chance of a re-shoot I would have liked to try some of your ideas and perfected this a little.

As for the boxing ring.....Its the only one we could get :P

Think outside the box, collapse the box, and take a fucking sharp knife to it.

I'm sure a lot of the ideas I had could just be tweaked with Photoshop (or whatever), especially the ones dealing with colors, background, etc.

You can't do much about the stances, but it might be possible to play with the eyes a bit to make it seem as if they're looking at each other.

What, you don't have a dozen boxing rings to choose from? (LOL!) Why no chance of a re-shoot?

Also the light source seems to be between them, while real ring light would be from above. The eyes could engage each other more and the mouth and stance of the more beaten girl could express her weariness and hurt but perhaps some determination to continue while the face of the girl in white might shows some pleasure at her success in the fight so far as well as her costume showing some spatter and sweat - she looks too fresh and clean for the overall scene to seem real. But please do more, the concept is exciting!

Yeah we figured now we lit it wrong :(
I think i may have just the shot for "pleasure at her success in the fight so far" (Y)

First and foremost this is a brilliant concept. Just because it didn't 'work' the first time around doesn't mean it can't work visually a second time. Don't listen to what the others say about the divided ring. That is a great POV of having the ropes one color on one side and then change to an entirely different color on the other side. And the idea of having the same girl on both sides of the ring facing each other should be made clear. We do have two angels on our shoulders, the devil on one, our (as Lincoln said) better angel on the other. I will take the time to go further with you on my suggestions for a future setup shot if you want. But you have to ask. Drew.
